Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) Contains known cancer-inducing agents with the potential to cause nasal and liver tumors. Harmful for the nervous system, the liver and the kidneys.

Sodium Coceth Sulfate Hazards similar to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine Frequently causes allergic reactions.

Triclosan Microbial resistance, endocrine disruption, higher incidence of allergies, altered thyroid hormone metabolism, and may induce tumors.

Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) Skin penetration enhancer, often contaminated with dioxane and ethylene oxide toxins.

Phenoxyethanol Frequently causes allergic reactions.

Retinyl Palmitate Carcinogenic effects.

Dimethicone Traps impurities in the skin.

Quaternium-15 Allergen with toxic effects on the skin. Formaldehyde-releasing chemical.

Potassium Sorbate Skin and eye irritant.

Cocamide DEA / MEA Usually highly contaminated by nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic and have reproductive toxicity, development toxicity, and organ system toxicity.

Polysorbates When ethylene oxide is not completely cleaned out of the final ingredients, it is contaminated with a known carcinogen.

Artificial Coloring Synthesized from coal tar and petroleum, they are linked to organ damage, cancer, birth defects, and allergic reactions. Two examples of artificial dyes are Yellow Dye 5 which is linked to allergies, hyperactivity, aggression and insomnia and Red Dye 33 which is a know carcinogen. Coal tar dyes have been banned in many countries, and California's Proposition 65 requires an appropriate cancer warning on products containing this ingredient.
